[TV Land] “Giant Baby” comedy about Broadway star reuniting with her son she gave up for adoption decades earlier. Cast contingent presentation order announced end of September 2012. Cast: Kirstie Alley , Rhea Perlman, Eric Petersen, Michael Richards. 12 episode order issued.
“The Bridge”, a murder investigation drama based on the Swedish/Danish co-production “Broen”. “Cold Case” creator Meredith Stiehm and writer Elwood Reid involved. Cast: Diane Kruger, Demian Bichir, Annabeth Gish, Thomas Wright, Ted Levine, Emily Rios, Catalina Sandino Moreno. Note: There is identical French/English cooperation project “The Tunnel” in production.
“Twisted” (formerly “Socio”) Drama about alleged teenage sociopath accused of murder of fellow student. Written by Adam Milch. Announced in late August 2012. Cast: Avan Jogia, Maddie Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Kimberly Quinn, Sam Robards, newcomer Ashton Moio, Denise Richards.
“The Fosters” Drama about multi-ethnic family of foster and their own kids being run by two moms. Jennifer Lopez produces. Announced in late August 2012. Cast: Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez.
“Bad Advice From My Brother” a half-hour comedy about two brothers moving together in Manhattan. Based on Jordan Pope Roush’s blog of the same name. Cast contingent pilot order.
“Murder In Manhattan” (previously “Between Park and Lex”) Dramedy about mother and daughter who team up as amateur detectives. Ryan Reynolds produce. Put in pre-development by ABC in late August 2012. Casting began in late February 2013. Cast: Bridget Regan
“Ground Floor” comedy about ambitious leader in corporate world clashing with chilled lifestyle of support staff. From Scrubs and Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence. The project originally landed a pilot production commitment at CBS last year but did not get made.

“See You Next Tuesday” short format office comedy about employees of a psychopath boss.
“Intelligence” high concept drama about a man with a top-secret experimental microchip implanted in his brain but with more serious approach than Jake 2.0, Chuck or tons of other shows that had similar premise and addition of procedural twist. Cast: Josh Holloway, Michael Rady, James Martinez
“Reign” fantastical reimagining of the story around teenage Mary The Queen of Scots. Project sold in late October 2012. Casting began in early February 2013. Cast: Adelaide Kane
“Mother’s Day” (working title) comedy about 40 year old woman and mother who navigates her busy life with lies. Based on Israeli series of the same title.
Untitled project about widowed father of teenage kid trying to return to the world of dating. This project dates back to three years ago when script to pilot was originally ordered, however difficulties casting the lead caused the project to get shelved. Pilot now re-ordered.
“Jacked Up” comedy about ex baseball player adjusting to life after retirement. Patrick Warburton attached as a lead.
“Do It Yourself” comedy about young maths teacher who gets laid off and finds a job in home supply store.
“The Affair” drama about relationship between single father of four and woman mourning loss of her child.
“Leftovers” Story of several people that didn’t make it during final Rapture. Damon Lindelof’s take on Tom Perrotta’s 2011 novel. In development since summer 2012. Pilot ordered in early February 2013.
“Ironside” procedural drama about wheelchair bound detective. Reboot of the 1967 detective drama of the same title. Blair Underwood set as lead.
Untitled comedy project loosely based on John Leguizamo’s life on the upper West Side of New York.
“Anatomy Of Violence” crime procedural following female FBI agent working with a mysterious psychiatrist. Based on soon-to-be-published title by Adrian Raine. Pilot production commitment with big penalty announced in early October 2012. Pilot ordered in early February 2013. Cast: David Harewood
“Divorce: A Love Story” comedy about recently divorced couple who discover they can’t stay out of each others lives. Cast: Andrea Anders
“Second Sight” cop drama revolving around homicide detective who lost his sight but is using enhanced sensitivity of his remaining senses as an advantage to solve crimes. Based on 12 year old British series starring Clive Owen. Cast: Jason Lee, Kim Dickens

“How To Survive A Plague”miniseries drama about AID activists infiltrating pharmaceutical industry in search of cure. Based on documentary of the same title.
“Lucas Stand” paranormal drama about former special ops vet hunting down Hell’s law-breaking demons.
“Crash And Burn” drama about stuntman in the analogue 1970ies/80ies world of cinema.
“Clopatra” miniseries about titular ruler of ancient Egypt. NBC has similar project on pilot order list.
“The Terror” mystery drama revolving around fictionalized account of Royal Naval lost expedition to Arctic Northwest Passage encountering mysterious monster. Based on novel by Dan Simmons.
ABC is apparently looking into “Once Upon A Time” spin off show based around character of Mad Hatter from series one. Network is exploring possibility of recasting of the lead originally played by Sebastian Stan who is not available to reprise the role at the moment.
PROJECTS BENCHED & POSTPONED
”Criminal Justice” high profile drama set as plot-per-episode narration, where each episode follows one person charged with murder as they move through the New York justice system. Loosely based on 2008 BBC series of the same name. Pilot is to be written by Oscar nominee Richard Price and to be directed by Oscar-wining writer Steven Zaillian. Cast: James Gandolfini, Rizwan Ahmed, Bill Camp, Peyman Moadi and Poorna Jagannathan. In late February 2013 HBO decided to postpone production of the pilot until further notice.

“Cinnamon Girl” Renee Zellweger created and produced series about group of female friends among 1960s/early 1970s Los Angeles music scene. Cast: Allie MacDonald, Alexis Knapp, Brooke Anne Smith, Jade Barrett and Sebastian Piggott. After reviewing the pilot network decided not to go forward with the project
